My Valentine's Wishlist/Perfect Outfit
With Valentine’s Day looming (actually it is tomorrow), this post is I guess highly appropriate.  The boy and I do not really celebrate Valentine’s (AKA he does not see the point of spending extra money for a bunch of flowers because it is a specific day…I guess I do agree but it is still nice to get flowers then…office bragging rights!)  Anyway, this post is about my wish list of Valentine’s Day gifts that I would ask for if:
a) I won the EuroMillions or the boy did and I could buy whatever I wanted.
b) I had any fashion PR on speed dial (this is probably more unlikely than me winning the Euro lottery!)
So to keep it romantic, the general theme is girly and pink.  I surprisingly (considering I do not consider myself to be girly) have a lot of pink in my wardrobe.  However, with the sunlight streaming through the windows (very un-Winter HK weather), I have chosen more pastel pinks than the brighter neon pinks (with one exception).  In keeping with Valentine’s Day, it probably is a bit more “sugary” than what I would usually pick but variety I guess keeps life interesting.
The key pieces I think in this look are the skirt and jacket from MSGM (not to be mis-searched as MGSM which results in Macquarie Graduate School of Management – oh the wonders of Google search) which is a brand founded by Italian designer Massimo Giorgetti in 2008.  I saw an amazing picture from NYFW with my super style crush Nicole Warne (Gary Pepper Vintage) wearing an acid yellow coat (it was a real citrus/fruity fest actually) which has been credited as being from MSGM though I cannot find it on their website. Either way, I love it because it was such a brave pop of colour amidst the grey and snowy streets of NYC.

I also loved the floral top that Chiara Ferragni from The Blonde Salad wore in a recent NYFW look which is in MSGMs current 2013 S/S Cruise Collection.

So yes, I loved the pink tweed biker jacket which is currently available from Lane Crawford.  The pink tweed makes it girly and cute but the biker cutting gives it a bit more of an edge.  To match the jacket, I chose a great floral skater style skirt (in pink and white) which is also MSGM at Lane Crawford.  To make sure I don’t overdose on the girliness I chose a pair of boots from Australian brand Tony Bianco.  The “Averty” boots are currently only available to pre-order but have already seen them on the feet of super-bloggers at NYFW.  They are totally edgy and yet not too high that you cannot walk in them!  I also chose a blue chambray shirt from M&S to complete my clothing choices.  To finish the outfit, I chose some super cute “love” themed accessories such as the cute heart pendant from Coach.  Make-up wise, I chose to focus on the lips with the gloss from Aerin and the Deborah Lippmann lip and nail set.  Perfect for kissable lips!  Finally, I could not resist the cute “love birds” make up pouch from Next.  Unfortunately, I can only find it on the Next UK website. You could use this as a clutch as it is so cute!  If like me, you prefer a larger bag then how can you resist this pink “Laurie” bag from Laura Vela?  Extremely girly in colour with the pearly sheen to the leather, it is practical in shape and size.
So there you go…my Valentine’s Day themed wishlist.
